So I had no idea that the Gap had a petite section on their website...I'm not sure how new it is, but I discovered it a couple of weeks ago and was so excited!
Per the website:
Designed to fit you perfectly. Exclusively at gap.com. Petites available in sizes 0P-16P & XSP - XLP. Your Gap Petite size = your Gap size.
Our petite sizes are based on height, not weight. If you're 5'4" and under, our petite collection was designed just for you. Each style has been adjusted to fit your petite figure.
I ordered these 3 items from the new petite collection, and I have to say, the proportions really do fit me quite well!:
So if you like the Gap (and they have such cute stuff right now, I placed a big order with them!) and didn't know about this new petite section, check it out!

3I know, that would be fabulous! But I don't mind having to order, I own so many clothes from there, I know how they'll fit and what my size is. Oh, and if you have a Gap card, shipping is free on all online orders, which is pretty great.

I love the look of the long summer dresses and skirts, but since I'm so short I can't
ever find any for me. These might just do the trick!
